Travel should work for you.
Planning a holiday can be exciting. But when you have accessibility or additional travel requirements, finding the right holiday can sometimes mean hours of research, checking facilities, contacting hotels and trying to work out whether somewhere will genuinely meet your needs.
You don't have to do that alone. Tell me what you need, and I'll do the research to help find travel options, accommodation and experiences that work for you.
Whether you need step-free access, an accessible bathroom, a wheelchair-accessible room, adapted transfers, mobility equipment, assistance at the airport, accessible excursions or simply a little more space and flexibility, I'll look into the details for you.
Tell me what you need.
I'll help find the right options. There isn't a standard definition of an accessible holiday. Everyone's needs are different.
You might need:
Accessible accommodation
Rooms with step-free access, accessible bathrooms, wider doorways, suitable beds or other specific facilities.
Mobility support
Wheelchair access, mobility equipment, suitable transfers, accessible transport or assistance getting around your destination.
Airport & travel assistance
Help understanding available assistance, transfer requirements and the practicalities of getting from home to your accommodation.
Accessible experiences
Tours, excursions, attractions and activities that can accommodate your requirements.
Additional space or facilities
Perhaps you need a particular room configuration, a ground-floor room, a balcony, a wet room or somewhere with suitable facilities for your needs.
Something completely specific to you
If there's something else you need to make your holiday work, tell me.
The more I understand about what you need, the better I can research the options for you.
I do the research.
You tell me what matters. I'll investigate the details. Accessibility information isn't always as straightforward as it should be. A hotel might describe itself as "accessible", but what does that actually mean?
Is there step-free access from the entrance?
Is the lift large enough?
Does the accessible room have a roll-in shower?
How high is the bed?
Can a wheelchair access the balcony?
Is the pool accessible?
Are the restaurants accessible?
What about the transfer from the airport?
These are the details that can make a real difference.
I'll research the options available and, where appropriate, ask suppliers and accommodation providers for further information so you have a clearer picture before making a decision.
No assumptions. No one-size-fits-all solutions. Just research based on what you actually need.
Accessible holidays can be anywhere.
Accessibility doesn't mean you have to compromise on where you want to go.
Perhaps you're dreaming of a relaxing beach holiday, maybe you want to explore a European city, perhaps you're planning a cruise, a UK countryside escape, a family holiday, luxury break or even a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
I'll look at the destination and the journey as a whole, considering the accommodation, transport, transfers and experiences that make up your holiday.
The destination should fit your needs — not the other way around.
Travelling with someone who needs additional support?
The holiday is for everyone. Whether you're travelling as a couple, family, group or with a companion, I'll consider everyone's needs when researching your holiday.
That might mean finding accommodation with adjoining or connecting rooms, suitable family facilities, accessible transport or simply somewhere that makes getting around easier.
I'll help you look at the practicalities without losing sight of the most important part:
You should still be able to enjoy an amazing holiday!
Accessibility isn't just about mobility.
When people talk about accessible travel, they often focus on wheelchair access. But accessibility can mean many different things.
You may have visual or hearing requirements, need specific dietary arrangements, require assistance at airports, have sensory considerations or need particular facilities or support during your trip.
You don't need to know exactly what is available or what to ask for. Tell me what you need, and I'll help work out what questions need to be asked.
Your holiday, designed around you.
I don't believe accessible travel should mean choosing from a limited list of holidays. Instead, I'll start with you.
What do you want to experience?
Who are you travelling with?
What do you need to make the journey comfortable and enjoyable?
What would make you feel confident about travelling?
I'll then research the options and help you make an informed choice. Where information isn't clear, I'll seek clarification rather than simply assuming that something will work.
Because the right holiday starts with understanding the traveller.
A little more research. A lot more confidence.
I can't promise that every destination, hotel or experience will be suitable for every individual requirement. And accessibility can vary considerably between properties and destinations.
But I can promise to listen to what you need, research the options carefully and help you understand what is available before you book. I'll also make sure you're aware of any relevant information or limitations provided by the supplier before you make your decision.
My job isn't to tell you where you can travel. It's to help you discover where you can.
Whether it's a honeymoon, family holiday or once-in-a-lifetime journey! Whether you know exactly where you want to go or you're looking for inspiration, I'd love to help design your perfect holiday.
