Some places are made for a particular time of year.
There are holidays you can take whenever you like and then there are journeys that are all about when you go.
A city glowing beneath Christmas lights.
The Northern Lights dancing across a winter sky.
Spring flowers transforming a landscape.
Autumn colours covering the mountains.
Summer evenings that seem to last forever.
From festive escapes and winter adventures to spring blooms, summer celebrations and autumn journeys, I'll help you find the places and experiences that make each season worth travelling for.
Because sometimes, the timing is part of the adventure.
What time of year will you travel?
Spring
When the world comes back to life. Spring is one of my favourite times to travel. Flowers begin to bloom, landscapes turn green, temperatures become perfect for exploring and many destinations feel a little quieter before the summer crowds arrive.
Think Japan during cherry blossom season, colourful European cities, Mediterranean escapes or countryside journeys through landscapes bursting into life.
It's also a wonderful time for city breaks, touring and multi-centre adventures when you want to spend your days exploring rather than hiding from the heat.
A new season. A new adventure.
Summer
Long days. Warm evenings. More time to explore. Summer is the classic holiday season for a reason. Whether you're dreaming of lazy days beside the Mediterranean, exploring a new city, island-hopping, taking a road trip or sailing somewhere completely new, summer gives you the freedom to make the most of every moment.
And it doesn't have to mean lying beside a pool for two weeks. Think Scandinavian summer, Canadian adventures, European festivals, coastal road trips or long evenings exploring somewhere you've never been.
Make the most of every minute.
Autumn
Golden landscapes and a different kind of escape. Autumn brings its own kind of magic. The crowds begin to disappear, the landscapes change colour and cooler temperatures make exploring feel effortless.
Imagine New England covered in autumn colour, Scotland's Highlands beneath golden landscapes, Japan's famous autumn foliage or a European city break with crisp mornings and cosy evenings.
It's also a wonderful time for food and wine experiences, countryside escapes and road trips.
Some destinations are even more beautiful when summer is over.
Winter
Snow, sparkle and something magical. Winter can transform a destination. Wrap up warm and explore Christmas markets in Europe, experience the magic of Lapland, chase the Northern Lights across Iceland or Norway, or escape the cold completely with some winter sunshine.
Imagine cosy evenings, snowy landscapes, festive food and beautiful places that feel completely different from the rest of the year. Or perhaps winter for you means sunshine, beaches and leaving your coat firmly at home.
Cold outside. Warm memories.
Halloween
A little darkness can be a lot of fun. If you're looking for something a little different, Halloween can be the perfect excuse to travel.
Explore the atmospheric streets of Edinburgh, discover the legends and history of Ireland, experience Halloween celebrations in the USA or plan a themed escape somewhere completely unexpected.
From haunted history and ghost tours to spectacular events and family-friendly experiences, Halloween travel can be as spooky or as spectacular as you want it to be.
Not every adventure needs to be sunshine and beaches.
Northern Lights
One of nature's greatest shows. There are few travel experiences quite like seeing the Northern Lights. Head north into the darkness and you could find yourself beneath a sky illuminated by ribbons of green, pink and purple.
Explore Iceland, Finnish Lapland, Swedish Lapland or Northern Norway, combining the search for the aurora with husky rides, snowshoeing, cosy cabins, geothermal experiences and incredible Arctic landscapes.
Of course, the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed — but I'll help you choose the destination, timing and experiences that give you the best possible opportunity to see them.
Some memories are written in the sky.
Christmas Markets
Get into the festive spirit. Few things make a city feel more magical than Christmas. Wander through illuminated streets, browse traditional markets, discover local food and drink, find unique gifts and soak up the atmosphere of a European Christmas.
From Vienna and Prague to Strasbourg, Cologne and Budapest, Christmas markets can turn a simple city break into something genuinely special.
And you don't have to wait until Christmas itself. Many markets begin welcoming visitors from November, making them perfect for a festive pre-Christmas escape.
Sometimes the best Christmas present is getting away.
Or perhaps there's a moment you're chasing?
Sometimes it's not the season itself. It's the experience that only happens at a certain time.
Seeing cherry blossom in Japan, watching the Midnight Sun in Scandinavia, experiencing Christmas in New York, seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland, exploring Canada beneath autumn colours, celebrating Hogmanay in Scotland or travelling somewhere simply because you've always dreamed of experiencing it at a particular time of year.
Tell me what you want to experience, and I'll help you find the right time to go.
Seasonal travel, designed around you.
The right time to travel isn't always the busiest or most obvious one. I'll help you look beyond the traditional holiday calendar and find the destinations, experiences and travel styles that work for you.
Whether you're chasing sunshine, snow, autumn colours, festive magic, incredible wildlife or a once-in-a-lifetime natural phenomenon, I'll help bring the right journey together.
Because sometimes when you travel matters just as much as where you go.
Whether you're dreaming of Christmas markets, chasing the Northern Lights, experiencing cherry blossom, exploring beneath the summer sun or discovering somewhere completely different in autumn, I'd love to help turn your idea into a journey designed around you.
